Senior Nurse

Job Description:

Contract:  10 weeks onboard/10 weeks paid vacation

Additional Compensation:  Currency fluctuation program and bonus program

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years experience in critical care of patients and possess a Registered Nurse License.  Current ACLS and PALS certification or equivalent training and experience needed.  Excellent English communication skills, impeccable grooming, well organized, outgoing with an extremely strong team and client service oriented personality.  AMOS system experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Doctor, including completion of medical records and handling of medical inventory.  Any requests of supplies are to be approved by the Doctor before submitting them to Staff Captain through AMOS.
  • Keep track of onboard crew medical examinations and make sure that crew are notified / reminded when they need to renew their medicals upon leaving for vacation.
  • Ensure that all patients are treated confidentially.
  • Provide First Aid courses with crew as agreed with the Doctor and Staff Captain.
  • Follow the working hours and duty rooster set up by the Doctor.
  • Maintain logs and documents (including AMOS) as required in the Medical Centre or as stated by the Doctor.
