Slot Technician

We are currently searching for Slot Technicians to join our team! This position has a six month onboard contract. Successful candidates will be considered for regular Slot Technicians assignments based on their successful performance.

Join our team as a Slot Technician and work with state-of-the-art equipment in our casinos, game rooms and gym while visiting exotic destinations and meeting new people! Potential candidates should have formal training in the repair and troubleshooting of a variety of electrical, mechanical and/or electronic equipment. Previous slot technician work experience in live casinos preferred.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Adjusts slot machines, video games, coin-handling, card shuffling and all other machines and equipment following manufacturer's specifications, using hand and power tools. Conducts general maintenance and/or service on all machines and equipment. Prepares requisitions for parts, tools, equipment, etc. And forwards to Casino management for approval
  • Fills machines with coins and test electrical and coin-handling systems.
  • Examines defective machines to determine causes of malfunctions. Adjusts and repairs machines, replacing worn or defective electrical or mechanical parts, using hand tools, such and screwdrivers and pliers

Minimum hiring requirements:

  • Formal training in the repair and troubleshooting of a variety of electrical, mechanical and/or electronic equipment
  • Proven ability to read safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment and methods and procedures in mechanical drawings
  • Proven customer service skills to interact appropriately with guest in a considerate, professional and positive manner by showing concern and listening actively
  • Ability to communicate tactfully with guests, department heads and shipboard employees to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time
  • Ability to count paper and coin currency quickly and accurately
  • Ability to perform basic math functions with regard to monetary units and compute slot machine percentages
  • Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly
  • All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D1 visa  (and other relevant visas) when applicable
  • Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training

Casino Manager - Asia

We are currently searching for a Casino Manager to join our team.

This position offers four months onboard and then two months paid vacation before returning for four months.

Potential candidates must have a minimum of five years proven casino management experience and fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs all the casino operations and associated activities throughout the vessel by performing the duties described below either personally or through subordinate managers and supervisors.
  • Mentors, trains develops Casino team to strengthen their current performance, prepare for future advancement, and to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Meets with function managers and/or staff to review guest comments to implement revisions and improvements.
  • Reviews financial transactions and monitors budget.  Reviews for final approval for gifts, prizes, product replacements, supplies, purchases, etc.
  • Oversees all casino operations, presentations, activities and quality in all venues. Observes preparation to ensure quality standards are met. Oversees the care and maintenance of all equipment, props, supplies, etc.  Oversees all special events conducted onboard the vessel requiring the casino staff.
  • Maintains a high degree of "floor presence" to observe the casino games, slot machines, cash desk to minimize security and fraud issues.  Monitors the casino staff to ensure procedures and services are performed in accordance with Royal Caribbean International's Gold Anchor Standards.
  • Establish and develop relationships with junket tour operators.
  • Oversees the cash handling functions to ensure the counting and reconciliation processes are conducted according to established procedures.
  • Confers with food, beverage, shore excursions, gift shops, etc.  Provides input and feedback for the Cruise Compass newsletter. 
  • Ensures that high roller casino guests are identified and enrolled into Club Royale.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum two to five years progressive management experience as a Casino Manager with consistently high performance ratings in a large resort, cruise line, or hotel.
  • Experience in the Asian market is desired (Singapore, China, Macao, Japan, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, etc.)
  • Satisfactory completion of Gaming Board/Commission approved dealer school.
  • Ability to manage the financial aspects of a casino operation, including expense reduction through cost efficiencies and revenue growth through promotional and up-selling activities.
  • Ability to manage headcount within area as it relates to and supports the business needs of the vessel.
  • Ability to provide customer and personal service including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques.
  • Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of software packages such as Excel, Word, or related programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred.
  • The ability to speak English clearly is required.
  • Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is highly preferred.
  • All shipboard employees must be physically able to participate in emergency life saving procedures and drills.

  • Informs players of the rules and regulations as the game progresses.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to rapidly discern the numbers on dice, cards, wheels, etc. and determine the outcome of the game

Casino Dealer and Slot Cashier

Live table games Black Jack and Roulette

Slot cashier duty included 2 times per week (training availble from us)

DEALERS:

This note is to inform you about your duties and responsibilities concerning your work.

  • every night shift casino will be opened 30 min. after departure
  • all dealers will be present on opening
  • during night shift the live table will be open until 02.30 A.M (table will remain open when there is game)
  • on day shift live table will be opened starting with 12.00 P.M. with 1 dealer and others only when there is game
  •  in day the table will be closed one hour before to arrive in the port and the closing papers will be completed;
  •  the dealers are in charge of cleaning the live tables and live table area after closing the tables
  •  Every day one of the dealers will be night shift (slot duty).

NIGHT SHIFT DUTY BEHIND CASH DESK:

  •  night shift will be on duty 11 hours
  • night shift is fully responsible for the cash desk
  •  hand payments will be checked with meters of jackpot and cancel credit and there must not be any differences when compared with the meters
  •  if in the end of the shift there will be differences on cash money, minus or plus, the canceled credits and jackpots on all the machines will be checked;
  • the receipt book will be completed before the end of the shift, the shift book and the money will be checked between day cashier and night shift
  • the day cashier will check the cash money and the meters
  • the night cashier is fully in charged with cleaning of the casino on the end of the shift

Responsibilities:

  • Circulate throughout the casino and respond to Guest’s needs promptly.
  • Process hopper fills and jackpots.
  • Rectify minor coin jams, hopper tilts, and coin in tilts.
  • Create a friendly, comfortable and exciting atmosphere for all Guests.
  • Recognize and greet frequent guests.
  • Answer all questions related to the Ocean players club, and features offered by the Iverson slot player tracking system.
  • Recruit new slot players, and explain the benefits & privileges of the using their Sail & sign card in conjunction with the Iverson slot tracking system.
  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed & accuracy.
  • Maintain required key control & follow established procedures.
  • Work cohesively with the casino management, supervisors, technicians & hosts as a team, as well as working independently with little or no supervision.
  • Participate in day to day operational needs as deemed necessary by the casino management. (Drop collection, coin bagging etc).
  • Assist technical staff when necessary on port days.
  • Assist in all counts and collection of meters.
  • Some heavy lifting may be involved

Reporting procedure:

  • The Slot Host will report directly to the Casino Manager.

Skill requirements:

  • 21 years of age and older
    Good written and spoken English, excellent guest service skills, pleasant appearance, positive attitude.

Requirements:

Should not be a student or engaging in any form of studies (frozen or otherwise) This is an entry level position that requires training and as such would not be suitable for applicants still completing education or University Degrees.

Cashier

We are currently recruiting for cashiers responsible for controlling and accounting of transactions for the cage windows in the casino onboard a cruise ship.

Applicants should have a minimum of Four GCSE’S  and three to six months experience of Cash Handling.

You should be well presented and possess good interpersonal skills as well as be   prepared to live on-board a cruise ship for a duration of six months.

Procedure and computer system training will be provided.

Hours will be no more than 42 per week and will involve day and evening shifts.

Contracts are six months long and renewable, with between six and eight weeks holiday between contracts.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves to travel and is interested in a well paid career.

Basic salary is £300.00 per week tax free. Up to £500.00 per week including a share of the casino’s tip pool.

Flights, accomodation and healthcare provided

All finalised candidates will be CRB checked
